During the first week of November 2025, we deployed and placed for a week the pH and Dissolved Oxygen.
About the pH what we can see is that from Nov 1–8, both pH and temperature showed a steady decline: pH dropped from 8.08 to 8.02, while temperature cooled from 28.8 °C to 28.3 °C.
Both Dissolved Oxygen (DO) and temperature showed a consistent downward trend. DO concentrations decreased from approximately 7.8 to 7.0 mg/L, while water temperature declined from around 28.8 °C to 28.3 °C.
This parallel decrease suggests that cooling conditions and possibly reduced primary productivity influenced oxygen dynamics.
As temperature drops, biological activity and gas exchange processes may shift, leading to slightly lower DO levels despite the higher oxygen solubility in cooler water.
