April 2026 the reef’s chemistry!
In April 2026 the reef revealed its heartbeat through three vital signs: pH, dissolved oxygen, and temperature . Taken together, the five graphs show both the calm of daily averages and the hidden rhythms of two‑hour cycles. On the daily scale, temperature hovered close to 30°C with only small fluctuations , pH edged gently upward from just under 8.0 to a little above, and dissolved oxygen showed a subtle decline. These broad trends suggest stability, but also a quiet shift:

Data March 2026 - Light, Oxygen, pH and Temperatures
In March 2026, the environmental parameters we measured—light, temperature, dissolved oxygen, and pH—show a tightly interconnected story of how physical and biological processes shape marine ecosystems. Light intensity ranged between about 28,400 and 30,200 Lux, with a mean near 29,300 Lux. Its daily cycles reflect the alternation of day and night, with peaks driven by solar radiation and troughs influenced by cloud cover. This rhythm is the primary driver of photosynthesis,

CORALIVE Feridhoo Coral Restoration Project – Phase Two
Advancing reef recovery through coral nurseries and outplanting in the Maldives. The Feridhoo Coral Restoration Project – Phase Two report, prepared by Coralive, shares how coral nurseries are helping bring new life to the reefs of the Maldives. It tells the story of thousands of coral fragments grown, cared for, and then outplanted to degraded reef areas around Feridhoo. More than numbers, it’s a glimpse of hope — showing how science, community, and creativity can work toget
